What's Arthur listening to at the moment? Fabienne Shine

At the moment I"m listening to a track by Fabienne Shine. She is a french rock singer loved in France for her work there with her band, Shakin Street. The cd is called Fabienne Shine and the Planets.

The particular track I"m listening to is In Shallah - an exciting piece of world music. I have just been to visit her in her home in LA, in the Hills looking out over Hollywood. The track really arose in response to her early childhood in Tunisia, where her mother would frequently have parties at which music was presented by musicians coming in from the desert,  playing their Arabic instruments.

What a beauty she is. Her life has been devoted to and steeped in Rock. Her friends include many luminaries in the rock and film world. She started as a model and won the hearts of the Italians in her role as a sex-symbol.
